Digital Soul Australia goes national with East Coast Assets acquisition
Digital Soul Australia (DSA) today announced the acquisition of the East Coast Assets: tower sites across south-west Queensland, western New South Wales and Victoria's Swan Hill and Mallee region, taking its owned-and-operated portfolio to 32 tower sites across four states.
The sites, originally built to serve regional communities under the Regional Connectivity Program era, were acquired from receivers with a clear commercial focus: get them working properly, reactivate network services, and ensure they deliver for the communities that supported them.
The acquisition includes sites at:
- Queensland: Minoo, Cunnamulla East and Thurulgoona
- New South Wales: Bourke South East, Pallamallawa and Kyalite North
- Victoria: Piangil, Nyah, Swan Hill, Mallee Highway and Kooloonong
"Our purpose hasn't changed with the map: drive connectivity outcomes for regional and remote Australia. These are real networks in real communities, built with genuine investment and local backing. Our job is to finish them, make them deliver, and keep building from there." - Richard Fear, Managing Director
Four of the east-coast sites are in service today: Piangil, Nyah and Swan Hill in Victoria, and Pallamallawa in New South Wales. Two Queensland towers are under construction, with the remaining sites progressing through site acquisition and design towards build.
With the acquisition, Digital Soul Australia is relaunching as a national independent carrier serving three audiences: consumers and communities seeking regional home broadband; business, government and emergency services needing carrier-grade connectivity; and carriers, ISPs and resellers seeking co-location and wholesale fixed wireless access.
Passive co-location is available at in-service sites today under the company's standard Master Licence Agreement.
Beyond the acquisition, Digital Soul Australia is completing the towers now under construction, reactivating existing infrastructure, and actively pursuing new opportunities and collaborations with communities, businesses and government at all levels to deliver better connectivity outcomes across regional and remote Australia.
