Digital Soul Australia

nbn · About the service

nbn from Digital Soul Australia, in plain facts.

Who we are, what we sell, how you order, and what the service does and does not do.

Who is Digital Soul Australia?

Digital Soul Australia is the trading name of Fear Enterprises Pty Ltd, ABN 91 635 762 711. It is a privately owned Australian company based in Western Australia. It holds ACMA Carrier Licence No. 647 and is a member of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman scheme.

What nbn services does Digital Soul sell?

Internet for homes and businesses on nbn co’s network: the fixed line technologies (Fibre to the Premises, Fibre to the Node, Fibre to the Building, Fibre to the Curb and Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) and nbn Fixed Wireless. We do not sell nbn satellite. Every plan has unlimited data.

Where can I get it?

At addresses in every state and territory that nbn fixed line or nbn Fixed Wireless reaches. The address check on our website asks nbn co about your exact premises and shows every plan of ours that fits it before you order.

How do I order?

Online. Check your address, choose a plan it can take, choose your connection, confirm your details and pay by card. A business can instead be invoiced monthly. A transfer from another provider usually activates within one business day of our order. A new line or a change of technology needs an nbn technician appointment, which you choose during the order and can move from My Account.

Is there a contract?

No. Every plan is month to month with no fixed term and no early termination charge. The minimum total cost is one month of the plan price. Two condition charges exist and we show both before you order: if you take a free fibre upgrade and leave inside 12 months, or a high speed nbn Fixed Wireless plan inside 6 months of an equipment upgrade.

Are there any connection fees?

Most transfers and self install connections have none. Some connections and visits carry a once off charge: a new development, a new line, a professional installation or a missed appointment. Every one is shown to you before you order, and each plan’s Critical Information Summary lists them. There is currently no charge from nbn if a technician attends and finds no fault; if that ever changes, we publish the amount before it applies to any fault you ask us to lodge.

Can I keep my own router?

Yes. The service connects with no username, password or VLAN, so most routers work out of the box, and our setup guide covers the three steps. Fibre to the Node and Fibre to the Building need a VDSL2 modem router; nbn co encourages using one it has tested.

Does Digital Soul use CGNAT?

Yes. A service uses shared public addressing (carrier grade NAT) by default. A static IPv4 address is $10 a month inc GST, and you can add it when you order or later from your account.

Does it work in a power outage, and can I call 000?

No. The service does not work in a power outage and it carries no phone line, so 000 cannot be called on it. If anyone at the premises relies on a medical alarm, a back to base alarm or Priority Assistance, tell us before you order. We do not offer Priority Assistance; Telstra does.

How do I get help?

Message us from My Account at any time, or email enquiries@digitalsoulaustralia.com.au. You can track an order, move a technician appointment, test your connection, change plan and cancel from My Account. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can take it to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.

What should I read before I order?

The nbn Key Facts Sheet, which is one page. The agreement and the Critical Information Summary for your plan are shown and accepted at the review step, and emailed to you with your Order Confirmation.
