What it is

A fibre network that is not the nbn

Built into the estate

Opticomm builds and owns the fibre in new residential estates and sells access only through retail providers. If your estate is on Opticomm, your internet provider has to be an Opticomm retailer. We are one.

One network per address

An address is on Opticomm or on the nbn, never both. That is why an nbn check at an Opticomm address comes back with no record. Our address check looks at both networks at once, and at our own towers.

A box in your home

Opticomm supplies and owns a box in the home, and your router plugs into it. The address check tells us what your own address needs and whether the box is already there, and we confirm it with you before anything is ordered.

How it works

Check your address above. If it is on Opticomm you will see the plans we sell there, with the price and the plain English summary for each. Choose one and we place the order with Opticomm for you. When the service is live, you plug in your router and go.

Moving into a new estate before the house is finished? The check may not find the address yet. Message us from My Account if you have one, or email enquiries@digitalsoulaustralia.com.au with the lot number and the estate name, and we will hold it on file.

Questions

Before you ask

Can I move from my current Opticomm provider?: Yes. Opticomm services move between retailers, and the box in your home stays where it is. The steps, and any cost, including the activation fee Opticomm charges on a move, are set out with each plan.
Will I need new equipment?: The Opticomm box stays, and Opticomm owns it. You need a router that works with it. Each plan says which routers do, and whether we supply one.
How fast are the Opticomm plans?: Opticomm has its own speed tiers. Each plan we sell states its typical evening speed (7pm to 11pm) and how that figure was worked out.
My estate is not on Opticomm or the nbn. What then?: Check the address above. Where our own DSA Fixed Wireless network reaches it, the check says so and you can order there. Otherwise use the contact form and we will look at it by hand.
